Presentation Media, Inc. President Nate Nielson was on the Loyola Marymount University campus this week, lecturing to Media & Marketing Communication students about the key role of graphics in Integrated Marketing Communication campaigns. In today’s media milieu, where internet initiatives dominate our attention, it’s important to emphasize the importance of graphics in an increasingly visual world.
During his lecture, Nielson discussed the practicalities of his company’s tag line – “First and Lasting Impressions” – but also covered the inclusion of digital technologies in graphic communication. Students were particularly interested in Augmented Reality, but it was 3D Additive Manufacturing that garnered the most attention.
Of utmost importance to students, Nielson described the processes involved in creative concepts, testing and ultimately engaging with clients as their graphic programs evolve. Particularly poignant were his examples of working with aerospace companies as they transform scientific concepts into branded graphic environments at trade shows, in corporate lobbies and other venues.
Nate thoroughly enjoyed himself and hopes to return next semester. If you’d like more information about current trends in graphic communication, give Nate a call at: 310-644-7999
